Green Man with Cape
This Green Man has a very different feeling—regal, alien, royal, a keeper of mysteries. I think he is somehow related to Khidr, the Green Man of the Desert…. There is the striking visual contrast of metallic/iridescent “bark” and the matt-toned leaves that sprout all over his body. He is tall and very thin; his head is narrow. Some say he resembles an Ent from Middle Earth. His mouth is covered with leaves, indicating that he has secrets he cannot reveal. Leaves form his ears and the top of his head, which resembles a crown, and leaves cascade down his wrists, covering his hands, and down his ankles, covering his feet.
